American Evangelicalism: Family Conversations

The American evangelical movement has deeply impacted both the church and American society. But how should we relate to it today? This year, the Theology Lab online discussion group will explore this question in order to better understand our unique place in Christianity. Each session will feature live conversations between pairs of guest speakers who are influential in contemporary evangelical discussions. We’ll listen, engage, and learn from their responses to pressing questions of our time in the areas of theology, politics, race relations, the role of the church today, and more. Join us for a series of “family conversations” that don’t shy away from big questions, but approach them with a posture of mutual respect, curiosity, and Christ-centered solidarity. Evangelicalism — let’s talk about it!

Guest Speakers

We have a fantastic line-up of guest speakers for these sessions. Join us for discussions with guests including Dennis Edwards, David Brooks, Hauna Ondrey, Russell Moore, Walter Kim, Dominique Gilliard, Jim Wallis, Kurt Peterson, Kellie Carter Jackson, Kristin Kobes Du Mez, and Beth Allison Barr.
